From April 12th to 14th, the Second Carbon Research Young Scholars Forum, themed "Pollution Reduction, Carbon Reduction, and Environmental Health," was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang. The conference provided a broad platform for technology workers in the field of pollution reduction, carbon reduction, and environmental health to engage in in-depth, pragmatic, and effective communication and cooperation.

HealthyPhoton attended the conference with the HT8700 Open-path NH3 Analyzer and the HT8850 All-in-one Portable GHG Analyzer.

On the morning of April 13th, a teacher from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a special invited report at the conference. The presentation, titled "Flux Measurement Techniques and Methods for Gaseous Carbon Emissions from Ecosystems," shared case applications and related achievements. HT8700 Open-path NH3 Analyzer used in the project is a high-precision and highly sensitive instrument from HealthyPhoton, a domestically innovated product designed for real-time monitoring of ammonia concentrations in the atmosphere.

Using Quantum Cascade Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (QCLAS), the device exposes two high-reflectivity mirrors to the atmosphere, enabling multiple reflections of mid-infrared lasers over tens of meters. It measures the weak absorption of the target gas at the characteristic absorption peaks of the mid-infrared laser. Real-time integration of the absorption peak spectral curves enables trace gas concentration inversion.

The high-frequency concentration analysis feature of the HT8700 makes it particularly suitable for micrometeorological eddy covariance measurement techniques. Combined with a flux observation system, it can accurately quantify the net exchange flux of ammonia between different ecosystems and the atmosphere.

The HT8700 Open-path NH3 Analyzer has multiple partners in domestic institutions and has been showcased at the National Carbon Neutrality Center in the North, the European Geosciences Union (EGU) Annual Meeting, the International Nitrogen Initiative Conference (INI), and AsiaFlux. It has also been exported to the EU for participation in research projects. The paddy field ammonia emission flux system experiment, in collaboration with the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS, is located in Xiangxiang, Ningbo, and its results have been published in the world-renowned SCI journal Agricultural and Forest Meteorology.

This forum focused on pollution reduction, carbon reduction, and environmental health, contributing new wisdom and strength to promote China's development in green recycling, low carbon, and environmental health. In the future, HealthyPhoton will continue to produce more outstanding technological innovations, contributing to the realization of the Beautiful China dream and striving relentlessly to build a cleaner, more beautiful ecological environment.
