Project Details:
Project Title: Mountain Ecosystem CH4 Emission Observation Project
Project Date: June 2024
Deployed Instrument: HT8840 Portable All-in-one High-Precision GHG Analyzer
Project Background:
Monitoring and researching greenhouse gas emissions are crucial in the fight against global climate change. Methane (CH4), a significant greenhouse gas, has a greenhouse effect 25 times greater than carbon dioxide (CO2), making its emission monitoring and research especially important.
Project Content:
To achieve precise monitoring of CH4 emissions in mountain ecosystems, the project deployed the HT8840 Portable All-in-one High-Precision GHG Analyzer. Independently developed by HealthyPhoton Technology Co., Ltd., this instrument is based on Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) technology and can accurately measure and retrieve the concentrations of target greenhouse gas components, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and water vapor (H2O).
Deployed Instrument:
HT8840 Portable All-in-one High-Precision GHG Analyzer
Main Features:
Rapid Response: Achieves fast greenhouse gas measurement within the instrument box.
Strong Anti-Interference: Uses independent strong absorption spectral lines to avoid cross-interference from other gas molecules' spectra.
High Portability: Can be powered by solar energy or lithium batteries, allowing for stationary or mobile continuous observations.
Multi-Component Measurement: Capable of simultaneously measuring multiple gas components such as CO2, CH4, and H2O.
High Precision: Utilizes a mid-infrared enhanced optical cavity to ensure high precision and reliability of data.
