Field Installation of Open-Path EC NH3-N2O Flux Measurement System Successfully Completed

Author:admin

HealthyPhoton is pleased to announce the successful field installation of its synchronized open-path EC (eddy covariance) flux observation system for ammonia (NH3) and nitrous oxide (N2O). This system is now fully operational and ready to provide critical data for agricultural emissions monitoring, particularly in evaluating emissions before and after fertilizer application.

System Components
The system is equipped with our proprietary HT8700 Open-Path Ammonia Laser Analyzer and HT8500 Open-Path Nitrous Oxide Laser Analyzer, combined with a three-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer and additional auxiliary instruments. This comprehensive setup is designed to measure NH3 and N2O emissions with the utmost precision and reliability.

Key Features of the HT8700 and HT8500:

  • Ultra-High Sensitivity: Provides precise trace gas detection capabilities, ensuring accuracy in real-world field conditions.
  • Anti-Interference Measurement: Guarantees accurate data collection, even in environments with potential interferences.
  • High-Frequency Response: Offers real-time, high-resolution measurements without high-frequency signal loss.
  • Pipe and Pump Free: Reduces the need for complex sampling setups, simplifying system operations.
  • Low Power Consumption: Optimized for energy efficiency, supporting long-term field monitoring.
  • Unattended Continuous Monitoring: Capable of operating continuously with minimal maintenance, ideal for long-term environmental observations.

Innovation in Maintenance
A significant upgrade to the system is the introduction of an automatic lower mirror cleaning system. This feature ensures that the lower mirrors remain dust-free through automated cleaning and air-blowing functions, managed by preset programs. This innovation not only extends the maintenance intervals but also guarantees the system's performance over time, eliminating the need for regular manual cleaning.

Research Objective
The aim of this installation is to deliver accurate, real-time data on greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural fields. By monitoring NH3 and N2O fluxes, this system will provide valuable insights into the environmental impact of fertilizer application, ultimately helping to develop more sustainable agricultural practices. The data collected will contribute to global efforts in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and understanding their role in climate change.

As part of our commitment to "Innovation for Green Life," HealthyPhoton continues to push the boundaries of environmental monitoring technology, supporting researchers and policymakers in their efforts to combat climate change.
